working to improve health outcomes and reduce HIV rates among young gay and
bisexual men of color and their partners through community partnerships, youth

all LGBTQI individuals are provided exceptional healthcare, ultimately
achieving optimal health outcomes.

Why This Matters to You?
As more people gain access to
healthcare coverage, delivering affirming care to all patients provides an edge
in an increasingly competitive marketplace. Research shows that many LGBTQI
individuals are at high risk for poor health outcomes. Many LGBTQI individuals
cite barriers such as negative experiences with health care providers as a
reason for not seeking regular care. Therefore, increasing the competency of
everyone involved in the healthcare process is of critical importance.
Who Should Take These Courses?
Every person involved in the
patient experience of a health care organization, including but not limited to
health educators, health care providers, front office staff and office managers,
will benefit from these courses. These interactive trainings offer a unique
opportunity for staff to increase their knowledge and skills on their own time,
at their own pace.
Project MOCHA relied heavily on
subject matter experts to create course content.
